02 / FAQ

How we work, and how to work with us.

01 What does AAS Devel do?
02 Which technologies do you specialise in?

Our core platforms are .NET, Microsoft Azure and Databricks. For applied AI and mathematical work, the method comes first and the tooling follows it, from managed cloud services to custom models.

03 What kind of companies do you work with?

Mostly mid-market companies: teams that need an engineering partner for a product, platform or data initiative, without building a large in-house department first.

04 Where are you located?

AAS Devel has offices in Yerevan, Armenia; Los Angeles, California; and Lewes, Delaware. The U.S. legal entity is AAS Devel LLC.

05 How can we work with you?

As a project. You bring the goal; we agree a defined scope with you and deliver it end to end with our own team, which we lead and manage from start to finish.

06 How does a project start?

With a conversation. You describe the goal and the constraints, and we come back with questions, a suggested approach and the next step. For larger or less certain work, that next step is a short discovery phase that ends with a scope, a team and a plan.

Use Start a project to begin.

07 How do you work across time zones?

Each project agrees a fixed daily overlap with your working hours. Planning, reviews and demos happen inside that overlap; focused engineering work happens around it, so progress continues between your working days.

08 Who owns the code and intellectual property?

Ownership is set by the contract for each project. In most cases, it is you: the code, designs, models and documentation created for your project belong to you.

09 How do you handle security and confidentiality?

Confidentiality is one of our strengths. An NDA can be signed before any details are shared, but we do not depend on one: keeping everything about our projects and our clients private is our internal policy, whether or not a contract requires it.

Nothing about a project or a client is made public unless it has been agreed with that client or partner first.

10 What principles guide your work?
  • Mathematics before models. Measure the problem first, then choose the method.
  • Production is the finish line. A demo is a step; working software is the result.
  • One team, end to end. Design, engineering, cloud and data under one roof.
  • Plain updates. You always know what shipped, what is next and what is at risk.
11 Can you take over an existing codebase or platform?

Yes. A takeover starts with a review of the code, infrastructure and documentation, followed by a short report on risks and priorities. Changes then come in small, reviewed steps, so the product keeps running while it improves.

12 What happens after launch?

You choose. Some clients take the product over with full documentation and a handover; others keep our team on for monitoring, maintenance and the next set of features.

Have something ambitious in mind?

Tell us where the product stands today and where it needs to go. We'll come back with questions and a first step.
